Salary in Banking Industry is governed by the Bipartite Settlement which is signed between Bank Employee’s/Officer’s Trade Union and Indian Bank’s Association. Here Trade Unions represent the Employees/Officer’s trade Union/Association and Indian Bank’s Association represents the Bank Management and Government.
Bank Salary is subject to
revision after every 5th year. The present salary structure of Award
Staffs in Banking Industry is governed by the 12th Bipartite
Settlement which was signed on 08.03.2024 effective from 01.11.2022.

(3) Special Allowance:
Special Allowance which is calculated at 26.50% of basic pay per month. DA is also payable on Special Allowance. Example- Basic-₹10000, DA-20% (say). Then Special allowance will be 26.50% of ₹10000 i.e. ₹2650 and DA on Special Allowance will be 20% of ₹2650 i.e. ₹530. Special Allowance is not eligible for any retirement benefits.
(4) Special Pay:
Special pay is different from Special Allowance and paid to Award Staff. The rate of Special Pay is different for different roles. It is fixed as given below:

(7) Fixed Personal Pay:
Fixed personal pay is payable to the employees who were in Bank's service as on 01.11.1993. It was granted as one advance increment on account of computerization in the year 1993. It is payable after reaching maximum in his pay scale as per the following limit:

LFC can be availed by:
- Travel by train upto entitled distance or encashment of a lump sum equivalent to 100% of the train fare for the admissible distance by the entitled class will be paid.
- Reimbursement of fare by special trains like Rajdhani/Shatabdi/ Tejas/ Vande Bharat/ Amrit Bharat etc. (except luxury trains) shall be allowed.
- Where LFC is sanctioned and advance booking is not possible, then tickets purchased under Tatkal / Premium Tatkal will be reimbursed.
- Where LFC is applied in advance and booking is also done but later LFC is declined by management, the cancellation charges will be reimbursed by Bank.
- There will be no need to take any leave while encashing LFC.
- While encashing LFC, Privilege Leave also can be encashed.
- Employees can travel by steamer while on LFC and for clerks entitled class would be I Class Cabin and for sub-staff II class cabin

(11) Compensation on Transfer:
An employee on transfer from one station to another can transport his/her personal goods upto the following stipulated weights by rail or road by an IBA approved Transport Operator:

(14) Officiating Pay:
W.e.f. 01.04.2024, a workman, who is officiating in a higher post for a minimum 4 days at a time or an aggregate of 4 days during the calendar month, shall receive an officiating pay equal to 15% of his basic pay of person officiating on pro rata basis for the period for which he officiates.
(15) Eye Check-up allowance:
All employees shall be allowed reimbursement of ₹500/- per year towards annual eye check-up
